Concert Program BRUNO ANGELINI LOTUS FLOWERS

Bruno Angelini (piano, compositions)

Sakina Abdou (tenor saxophone)

Angelika Niescier (alto saxophone)

French group leader Bruno Angelini says of the program’s idea: “The lotus flower is the only thing that grows in swampy lakes, which, like the modern world, is full of mud and danger, inhabited by various dangerous creatures. Yet the water around the lotus becomes clean! The lotus flower is a symbol of light and purity!”

The playing of these award-winning musicians is rooted in the mood of free jazz and blues.
