Concert program “Images of Latvia” | Inčukalns Community House

We invite you on November 28 to a musically special afternoon at Inčukalns Community House, where, as part of the concert program “Images of Latvia,” we will listen to the virtuoso performance of the Riga Guitar Quartet!

The Riga Guitar Quartet brings together some of the most talented and active representatives of the younger generation of classical guitarists - Kārlis Matīss Zitmanis, Miks Akots, and Kristens Kupčs, with the ensemble joined by their teacher, the experienced guitar virtuoso Kaspars Zemītis.

Founded at the end of 2024, the quartet made a brilliant debut at the Latvian Classical Guitar Symposium, performing for the first time in our concert scene Andrew York’s impressive and technically demanding piece “Quiccan,” which is also included in tonight’s program.

The program will be enriched by pieces created by the guitarists themselves, works by world-renowned composers, and specially arranged transcriptions for guitar quartet.

The sound of guitars, virtuosity, and a diverse musical program - an evening worth experiencing in person! We invite you to enjoy the music and create a beautiful festive atmosphere for Latvia together!
