Critical thinking workshop with education expert Eliza Spilneri

on October 28 at At 11.00 a critical thinking workshop will be held at the US Information Center of Latgale Central Library, which will be led by teacher and education expert Elīza Spilner.

The workshop is especially suitable for librarians and other information specialists, as well as anyone interested who wants to improve the skills to critically evaluate information and use digital resources safely. The volume of information is growing very rapidly these days, so it is increasingly important to be able to distinguish reliable information from misleading or intentionally false content.

In the workshop, participants will improve their media literacy and critical thinking skills, which help them evaluate information and navigate more safely in the digital environment.

Special attention will be paid to the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on human opinion and decisions. Participants will discuss the reliability of AI-generated content, the need to verify information sources, as well as copyright, youth learning, and the importance of expertise in the use of AI in work and education.
