Latvian Voices concert Snow Gift

LATVIAN VOICES Christmas concert program 'Snow Gift'

The Christmas program “Snow Gift” by the a cappella group Latvian Voices is both a wintry play on words and the singers’ sincere wish to give their listeners the most beautiful musical gift.

In Latvian Voices’ six-part combinations of chords and melodies, meditative Advent hymns such as “O Come Emmanuel” and “See Amid the Winter’s Snow” will be heard, along with traditional winter solstice songs in modern arrangements, “Ai, bagāti Ziemassvētki,” “Pūti, pūti, ziemelīti,” as well as original songs created by the group members especially for this program, “Sniegu sniegt,” “Ziemas stāsts,” “So Slow,” “Tālu ziemas ceļu gāju,” and others.

This year, the concert program will also be accompanied by a Christmas album of the same name, “Snow Gift.” The album was created in collaboration with producer Andrew Kessler from Los Angeles, and is already the second recording project in the musicians’ collaboration.
