Meeting through personal ads was the original theme of the performance we worked on for a whole year. Such an apparently eccentric subject was not chosen by chance, because in today’s world people find it increasingly difficult to connect and meet.

But the resulting performance is about Latvia and Latvians, about loneliness, about women and men. It is also about the miracles that happen in people’s lives.

The performance offers the chance not only to speak about individual human lives, but also to show the broader patterns of our lives.

“Latvian Love” is based on real events and the actors’ own imaginations.
