Latvia’s Birthday Ball

Latvia’s Birthday Ball at the House of the Riga Latvian Society

On November 17, 2026, at Merķeļa iela 13, Riga

We invite you to a festive and patriotic ball dedicated to the birthday of the Republic of Latvia! We will spend the evening in an atmosphere of elegance, enjoying the historic setting of a building connected with the formation of Latvia. At the same time, this ball will be special in that it is organized according to the principles of a Viennese ball.

The musical mood of the ball will be provided by the Mirage Jazz Orchestra under the direction of Laura Amantova.

Evening program:

18:30 guest arrival

19:00 opening of the celebration

19:15 polonaise

23:30 last waltz

23:45 procession to the Freedom Monument,

laying of flowers and singing patriotic songs

From 22: 00 a patriotic sing-along under the direction of conductor Arvīds Platpers

The evening will be filled with celebrating Latvia’s independence, dancing, singing, and a sense of unity.

When coming to the ball, please bring at least one red or white rose (starting from 50 cm), from which flower arrangements will be made, so that the guests of the ball can be the first to greet Latvia on its birthday by laying flowers at the Freedom Monument.
