Independence Day of the Republic of Latvia and the living flame “Path of Light”

On the evening of the national holiday, Jūrmala is illuminated by Latvia’s longest living flame path - a line of light made from thousands of candles from Priedaine to Ķemeri and along Jomas Street, creating an atmosphere full of unity and remembrance. The holiday program is complemented by concerts, torchlight processions, and patriotic events that highlight the significance of the creation of the Latvian state and the sense of togetherness.
