Ice show “The Wizard of Dreamland”

On March 27 at 7: 00 PM at the VOLVO Sports Centre, a grand ice show for the whole family, “The Wizard of Dreamland,” will take place, featuring brilliant and titled figure skaters from Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia. The creators and organizers of the production are the authors of the ice show “Thumbelina,” which was successfully performed last year at Xiaomi Arena and in other European cities.

The heartfelt and bright story, inspired by A. Volkov’s popular work “The Wizard of the Emerald City,” will be revealed in a new light: Dorothy and her loyal dog Toto, the charming Scarecrow, the Tin Woodman, the Cowardly Lion, mysterious fairies and, of course, the enigmatic Wizard will come to life on the ice. Together with these characters, the audience will go on a fantastic journey through Dreamland, a place where dreams come true.

“The Wizard of Dreamland” is a colorful musical theater production created by a large creative team from Latvia: choreographers, artists, set designers, costume designers, composers, and lighting and special effects specialists. Every detail, from the scenery to the musical accompaniment, will create a magical atmosphere that will captivate both children and adults.

The ice show will feature 24 world-class figure skaters, participants in World and European Championships, winners and prizewinners of various international competitions, as well as acrobats, aerial performers, and other artists from Latvia and the Baltic states.

The participants in the ice show will demonstrate the highest level of technical skill and artistic expression: the audience will see complex lifts, pirouettes, jumps, impressive todes, and graceful synchronized duets. The arena will come alive not only on the ice, breathtaking aerial acrobatics under the dome will enhance the magical atmosphere of the event.

“The Wizard of Dreamland” is a bright cultural event designed for audiences of all ages. The show will be a wonderful holiday highlight and a great choice for family leisure.

Children under 3 years old, without a separate seat, enter free of charge!
