Legend Night at Daugavpils Fortress

On October 31, Latvian castles and manor houses invite you to the Legends Night events in the light! Daugavpils Fortress also invites you on an evening walk to discover the fortress’s history and legends, look at Daugavpils through a historical retrospective, and learn more about historical events by meeting with reenactment groups. Visitors will also be greeted by an educational team game and other surprises that can be discovered during the walk. Let yourself be carried away by the evening atmosphere and see Daugavpils Fortress in a new light!

During the evening, it will be possible to take part in a paid masterclass in the creative space of ceramist Nellija Dzalba. Visitors will also be able to view the Medical Exhibition with a contraception display. An outdoor cafe will be operating in the fortress area, where hot food and drinks can be purchased.

The Fortress Visitor Center will offer guided tours at 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. The fee is 3.60 euros for adults and 1.80 euros for schoolchildren, students, and pensioners (upon presentation of a document), and advance registration is required by October 29 at 3:00 p.m. by writing to cietoksnis@daugavpils.lv or calling +371 28686331 (during working hours from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.). The walk through the fortress area itself and participation in the free activities are free of charge.
