LIEDAGS 35 | “Around the World in Dance Steps”

The Liedags TDK will celebrate its 35th anniversary with the concert “Around the World in Dance Steps”

On November 15 at 3: 00 p.m., the 35th anniversary concert of the Ventspils folk dance group “Liedags,” “Around the World in Dance Steps,” will take place at the theater house “Jūras vārti.”

Thirty-five years in dance is a story about people for whom dance has become an inseparable part of life - about friendship, traditions, togetherness, and the joy that has been danced out on stage over the years. In the anniversary concert, “Liedags” will invite the audience on a colorful musical journey in which dancers of different generations will tell the story of the diversity and power of dance through movement and music.

All of the TDK “Liedags” groups will take the stage in the concert, together creating a diverse and energetic anniversary program. Friend groups will also take part in the celebration concert - the senior dance group “Brīzīte” under the direction of Inga Liepiņa, the children’s and youth dance group “Rūta” of Ādaži Secondary School under the direction of Taiga Ludborža, as well as dancers from the Ventspils Creativity House and the sports dance club “Ventspils” under the direction of Agnese Graudiņa-Gūtmane.

“Around the World in Dance Steps” will be a celebration of dance - its energy, beauty, and ability to bring together people of different generations. The concert will also be a special look back at “Liedags” over 35 years, honoring the dancers, leaders, and everyone who has been part of the group’s story over the years.

We invite you to be together on November 15 and celebrate 35 years with “Liedags” through dance!
