FLAX | Jānis Strazds | Jānis Peters

On the eve of the national holiday, on November 17 at 8:00 p.m., we invite you to a special concert program, “Flax,” created by composer Jānis Strazds in collaboration with poet Jānis Peters.

The concert program “Flax” is a story about Latvian identity, our cultural heritage, and the values that unite us. The music of composer Jānis Strazds and the poetry of Jānis Peters create a special musical whole.

The concert will feature soloists Ance Krauze and Andris Ērglis, the mixed choir, and the accompanying band under the direction of Jānis Strazds.

On this musical evening, poetry and music, soloists and choir will come together, creating a special pre-holiday atmosphere as we await the 108th anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic of Latvia.

We invite everyone to be together on November 17 at the concert program “Flax” and, in a festive mood, mark this important time for Latvia!

Ticket price: 10 EUR, with an Aizkraukle Municipality resident card or mobile app: 5 EUR (when buying tickets at the Aizkraukle Cultural Center box office), children up to 7 years old: 1 EUR.
