Synopsis

Only once a year - in autumn! The long-awaited MANHATTAN SHORT!

10 films. 10 different stories from around the world. Dive into the world of cinema - you will be the jury that chooses the best one!

The international short film festival MANHATTAN SHORT is one of the biggest short film events in the world. At the same time in different cities around the world, audiences watch the 10 finalist short films and become the festival jury, voting for the best film and actor.

This year, MANHATTAN SHORT will take place in Latvia for the 14th time, bringing audiences together in 10 Latvian cities. The festival in Latvia will run from September 24 to October 4, while in Riga - from October 1 to 4.

The festival's special value is audience participation - each visitor receives a voting ballot and, together with audiences around the world, determines the MANHATTAN SHORT winners. The voting results will be announced on October 5.

As part of the festival, the main prize of the Baltic FilmTales youth short film competition, worth 500 EUR, will also be awarded, and the winning film of the competition will be shown on the big screen.

The films are shown in English and other original languages with Latvian and Russian subtitles.
