Opera star Marina Rebeka will give several solo concerts in Latvia

Marina Rebeka, the most successful soprano in our country’s history, has conquered every stage that opera divas dream of. It was she who was entrusted to sing Médée on the La Scala stage, a role once stunningly sung there by Maria Callas. The cult opera Norma was also staged in Milan after a 48-year break with her, a singer from Latvia!

The Metropolitan Opera and Carnegie Hall in New York, Covent Garden in London, the opera houses of Paris and Vienna, the Berlin State Opera, the Royal Opera in Madrid, and the Salzburg Festival - everywhere the enchanting woman from Riga has been greeted with ovations by the most discerning audiences.

In Latvia, Marina Rebeka has been awarded the Order of the Three Stars, and in France the National Order of Arts and Letters (Ordre des Arts et des Lettres). Last year, listeners from all over the world also expressed their admiration for her when Marina received the audience favorite award, the Opera News Readers' Award, at the International Opera Awards’ 2025 ceremony. Among her many professional honors, the title of International Classical Music Awards 2020 Artist of the Year stands out in particular.

In 2026, Marina Rebeka will sing Abigaille (Nabucco) at Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, Médée (Médée) at Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris, Aida (Aida) at the Berlin State Opera Unter den Linden and the Latvian National Opera and Ballet, Leonora (Il Trovatore) at Teatro Real in Madrid, Cio-Cio-San (Madama Butterfly) at Teatro all'aperto Torre del Lago, and Marguerite (Faust) at La Scala in Milan, as well as take part in the Zurich Opera’s European concert tour with Verdi’s Requiem.

Several solo concerts are also scheduled in the famous prima donna’s calendar, and she will give three of them in three Latvian cities... We can be sure that the concert halls will be full and the concerts unforgettable and brilliant!
