Lies Without Rules

Psychological drama

The performance will offer a chance to examine a criminal incident in which the weapon of the crime becomes masterfully unscrupulous lies, which, by analogy with no-rules fighting, are uttered without observing any conditions.

Agrita discovers that her husband Roy has been unfaithful to her and decides to seek comfort in the arms of his best friend. Now Roy himself becomes the cuckold. To avoid coming out behind, the participants in this love triangle use every possible means - conscious and unconscious manipulation, deception, half-truths, omissions, open and malicious lies. No one yet has enough courage to look truth in the eye and be honest with themselves. The characters in the performance are ready to live in the illusion that this dangerous game can go on forever.

Both the characters in the performance and the actors themselves try to understand the nature of lies and even justify the psychological manipulation that is carried out day after day not only in personal relationships, but also in social and political processes. But will the insights they gain help them find happiness and harmony in a life built on lies?

The production is based on Hermanis Paukšs's play "Striptease".
