BLACK MILK/2024

Rate the performance: izrades.lv

It has been 15 years since the JRT production BLACK MILK was created. This performance shows that theatre does not always have to be based on destruction and conflict. It can also be about harmony and beauty, even if sad. A visually poetic production in which choreography and documentary Latvian stories, in the language of metaphors, tell of that lost paradise from which we all come and which we remember only dimly.

Back then, the performance toured many countries - from Europe to Latin America - and this poetic story about the Latvian bond with nature and the cosmos became universal and understandable even far from Latvia.

Now we have created a new version of this performance - seemingly the same, yet updated and improved. Because from the perspective of 2024, some things have changed too.

The performance takes place at 25 Lāčplēša Street, in the New Hall.

Performance duration: 1h 40min.
