Met Opera: Così fan tutte

The "The Met: Live in HD" season continues with Mozart's satirical comedy about the changing loves of youth. Phelim McDermott's "splendid and ingenious" (The New York Times) production, inspired by 1950s Coney Island, moves this troubled story to an amusement park on a seaside boardwalk, where the two couples at the center of the action run into one emotional (and literal) attraction after another. Soprano Federica Lombardi and mezzo-soprano Samantha Hankey sing Fiordiligi and Dorabella, while tenor Duke Kim and baritone Andrei Žilikhovsky portray Ferrando and Guglielmo. Bass-baritone Gerald Finley reprises his role as the cynical Don Alfonso, while soprano Ana María Martínez appears as the witty maid Despina.
