Isn't it sometimes the case that the doctor is the one who needs psychotherapy?

What is revealed when John, after the loss of his wife, turns to the psychotherapist Jan, a former priest... The patient is haunted by the beloved wife's ghost, and he needs to confess to the doctor for the ghost to disappear. But it turns out that the seemingly emotionally stable, self-confident specialist, who dispenses wise advice, has quite a lot to hide himself. He has skeletons in his closet too - no less frightening than his patient's. Suddenly, reality is more ghostly than it seemed at the start of the session...

Grief and loneliness, longing and selfishness, secrets and revelations, as well as one determined female ghost in the world of two men. Dmitry Petrenko ("He Said, She Said" (2025)) returns to the stage of the New Hall of Dailes Theatre to stage the play "The Shining City" by the Irish playwright Conor McPherson, which had its world premiere in 2004 at the Royal Court Theatre in London.
