Mo Gilligan in the comedy show “The Mo You Know”

Three-time BAFTA Television Award winner, called “the funniest man in Britain” by The Times, Mo Gilligan, star of a Netflix show, will perform in Riga with his new comedy show “The Mo You Know.” The seasoned comedian and showman has already sold out multiple tours throughout his career, performing in the US, Australia, New Zealand, Europe and, of course, at home in the UK.

“The Mo You Know” follows a highly successful career and several audience-loved Mo Gilligan stand-up specials available on Netflix. Released in 2022, “There’s MO To Life” and “Momentum” - the comedian’s debut special, released in 190 countries, including Latvia - reveal Mo as a man with a huge heart: no one in this world is evil, we all sometimes make ourselves look like lovable fools while trying to get through the everyday hardships of life.

The Londoner, who grew up in a family of Jamaican parents, masterfully captures the multicultural nature of present-day British society in his shows, fondly and respectfully referencing globally known names in amusing situations - Shakira, Bukayo Saka, Stormzy, Jay-Z and Kanye West. With warmth, he plays with the connotations of these personalities in awkward, familiar, everyday scenes. In addition, Mo takes the audience by the hand and leads them through the most absurd moments of the entertainment industry. He has felt them on his own skin, step by step, building a dazzling career on modest beginnings in the overcrowded European art mecca of competition.
