A Manor without Embellishment. Seminar for Buyers and Owners of Historic Buildings

A day and a half seminar at Padure Manor for those thinking about buying a manor house or other historic building, who have inherited one, or who already manage one. Led by Jānis Lazdāns, owner of Padure Manor (1838) since 2007.

Not an inspirational lecture, but concrete figures, mistakes, and solutions from 19 years of experience. We will talk about what a roof and heating really cost, what is and is not allowed in a heritage building, where to find funding, and how to make a building pay for itself. Participants stay overnight at the manor, see the utility rooms and attic, and may ask any question. The group has 5 to 9 people so the conversation can be open.
