Salaspils Concert Hall
In this concert in support of Ukraine, outstanding Latvian artists - Andrejs Osokins, Ralfs Eilands, Aija Andrejeva and Jānis Aišpurs - will meet on one stage, performing side by side with students from music schools in Salaspils and the Chernihiv region.
For this concert, the musicians will create a magnificent and joy-filled program that will become a source of delight, strength and inspiration, as well as a bridge of true solidarity between Latvia and Ukraine. In the concert, different generations, cultures and stage experience will merge into a unified, life-affirming sound.
For the young talents from Chernihiv, whose everyday lives pass in the shadow of air raid warnings and rocket fire, this event is much more than a concert. It is a rare opportunity to experience peace, enjoy a true stage celebration and make music without fear alongside experienced artists. The chance to perform in a safe environment gives these children invaluable emotional support and faith in their path in music.
By attending the concert, every listener will provide meaningful support to Ukraine - all ticket proceeds will be donated to the Osokinu Fonds initiative "Warm Meals for Ukrainian Soldiers at the Front," which is being carried out in cooperation with Ziedot.lv. More information about this initiative is available here: ziedot.lv/siltas-maltites-ukrainu-karaviriem-...
The concert is organized by the Osokinu Fonds, founded by pianist Andrejs Osokins, in cooperation with Salaspils Municipality and SALASPILS KULTŪRA.
This concert will be the culmination of the fifth music masterclass camp for young musicians from the Chernihiv region, organized by the Osokinu Fonds in cooperation with the Pāvuls Jurjāns Riga Music School and the Aktīvists association, with support from the Latvian company Baltic Restaurants, Riga City Municipality, Skrivanek Baltic and other partners.
Since 2024, nearly 100 Ukrainian children aged 12 to 17 have already visited Latvia for these two-week camps. They provide not only emotional respite and the chance to discover Latvia's nature and culture, but also the opportunity to study with outstanding Latvian teachers and perform in concerts, gaining inspiration to keep making music despite the devastation caused by the war in their homeland. Three music teachers from music schools in the Chernihiv region also take part in each camp, learning about Latvian educational practices and the latest teaching methods so that, with the experience they gain, they can strengthen the music schools of the Chernihiv region even in these harsh conditions.
