Okoncert presents: “My Paris” – a concert of French music in Riga

Paris – a city that leaves no one indifferent.

For centuries, it has been a center of culture and art, attracting the most diverse poets, artists, and musicians. Here luxury and simplicity, the bustle of the streets and the quiet of small cafes, happiness and a touch of sadness coexist side by side.

As Ernest Hemingway once wrote: “Paris is never ending.” And perhaps that is exactly why one wants to return to it again and again.

The program “My Paris” will feature songs recognizable from the very first notes – from Joe Dassin and Charles Aznavour to Edith Piaf, Lara Fabian, and Zaz.

Songs in which Paris lives on, with its light, gentle sadness, passion, and warmth.

On stage - Latvian National Opera prima Jūlija Vasiļjeva and an ensemble of virtuoso musicians, with whom this program has been filling concert halls for several years:

Under the vaults of St. Paul’s Church, music, light, and space will create an atmosphere in which Paris feels a little closer.
