Ball of Bastards

A typical modern Parisian family. Etienne cleans the house, cooks, and plans for a bigger family. Gabriela drains her spiritual energy, generously leaving it to her husband to take care of her. She spends his money, sits on the sofa, flips through magazines, and dreams of her ideal apartment on three floors. For Gabriela's dream to come true, the current home has to be expanded with the apartments of the upstairs and downstairs neighbors. Above them lives the desirable bachelor, a TV star = the host of the show "Fish Day" and a weather presenter, Bernard. Meanwhile, the downstairs neighbor is a passionate environmental activist, an expert on climate change, a defender of all oppressed groups, and a craft enthusiast, Chantal. The hostess Gabriela is planning an elegant party, where the guests will spend time enjoying a refined dinner and each other's company.

But what is the real purpose of this party? Or maybe there are several purposes?

The lamb is already in the oven, and that means the countdown has begun.

The sarcastic comedy "Ball of Bastards" by French playwright Luc Chaumart has been enthusiastically watched by audiences in France and other countries. Now it is time for Latvian audiences to laugh and reflect on the values of the modern world.
