NVO House invites you to the online seminar “Want to influence decisions? Do it openly!”

NVO House invites representatives of Riga nongovernmental organizations - associations and foundations - to apply for the online seminar “Want to influence decisions? Do it openly!”, which will take place on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:10 PM.

The seminar will be led by the association “Society for Openness - Delna,” which advocates for open and traceable decision-making and took part in 2022 in drafting the Transparency of Interest Representation Law adopted by the Saeima of the Republic of Latvia.

During the seminar, participants will learn about the Transparency of Interest Representation Law and its practical application. They will find out how to openly represent their interests and will also learn about the duties and opportunities of interest representatives. There will also be an opportunity to learn about the experience of other European Union countries.

Seminar program:

  • •Transparency of Interest Representation Law: its scope and practical application;
  • •Duties and opportunities of interest representatives when openly representing their interests;
  • •The register of interest representatives and the significance of registration;
  • •The experience of the association “Society for Openness - Delna” in interest representation;
  • •Interest representation practices in other European Union countries, such as Ireland and Finland.

Please note that during the seminar, photos and/or video may be taken for the purpose of presenting information about the seminar in publicity materials.
