Silvia, a novelist, is desperately looking for inspiration for a new work. She begins to secretly observe the neighbors across the street, imagining their life stories and creating her own story from them. When Sylvia hires young Adam to help with the day-to-day operations, her carefully constructed world begins to change. Gradually, the line between the writer's imagination and reality becomes more and more blurred, and the fictional story begins to affect the lives of real people.
The film is in French with subtitles in Latvian and Russian.
