Children’s Event “Njukucītis”

On 14 November at 2: 00 p.m., the Latvian National Museum of Literature and Music’s permanent exhibition “Procrastination and Creation” at 6 Mārstaļu Street in Riga will host a musical performance for families and children aged 4 and up, “Njukucītis”.

Both young and grown-up visitors will be able to embark on a journey into the fantasy world of poet Aivars Neibarts, getting to know Njukucītis, a small character with a big personality who especially likes to say: “No!”.

In the performance, audiences together with musician Maksims Šenteļevs and actress Liena Šmukste will discover stories from Aivars Neibarts’ book “Njukucītis and No!”. Through sounds, words, and the illustrations of artist Raimonds Vinduļs, event after event will unfold, allowing children to step into a playful and kind fairy-tale world.

Poet Aivars Neibarts left a rich legacy in children’s literature, with fantasy, humor, and the ability to look at the world through a child’s eyes occupying a special place in it. The performance “Njukucītis” will offer the chance to experience these values in a shared family adventure.

Come and meet Njukucītis, who likes to say “No!”, but who can reveal plenty of joy, surprises, and imagination!

Tickets are available in the “Mobilly” app and at biletes.rmm.lv. Seating is limited.
