Event for Babies “Journey into the World of Water”

On 8 November at 11: 00, the Latvian National Museum of Literature and Music invites parents with babies aged from 6 months to 3 years to the event “Journey into the World of Water” in the “Little One at the Museum” series, which will take place in the permanent exhibition “Procrastination and Creation” at 6 Mārstaļu Street, Riga.

At the event, young visitors together with their parents are invited to discover the diverse world of water through sensory and educational activities. Together we will look, listen, explore, feel, and, through play, discover the secrets of the world of water. We will give ourselves over to sensations and movement. Children will be able to develop their senses and discover the world around them in a safe and friendly environment.

The session will last about 40 minutes and is designed for the youngest visitors, encouraging their curiosity, the joy of movement, and their first discoveries.

After the event, families are invited to take their time exploring the museum exhibition “Procrastination and Creation,” looking for the answer to the question of which Latvian writers and composers used to procrastinate by the water, whether by swimming, going for walks, or fishing. There will also be an opportunity to visit the children’s creative space and continue the joy of exploring and playing.
