Event Series “For Antons Skrinda - 145”

Antons Skrinda was not only an outstanding figure of the Latgalian Awakening and a doctor, but also a highly versatile personality. Working in various fields, he made a significant contribution to the cultural and social life of Latgale, bringing the light of the spirit to his people.

To celebrate the 145th anniversary of Antons Skrinda, the Skrinda Family Museum is organizing a series of events, “For Antons Skrinda - 145”. The series of events is aimed at children and young people. It is intended to introduce the younger generation to Antons Skrinda’s multifaceted personality, his life path, work, and significance in the cultural history of Latgale in an engaging and modern way.

The aim of the events is to promote children’s and young people’s interest in the cultural heritage, history, and notable personalities of Latgale, as well as to encourage an understanding of the cultural values of their own region and their significance today.
