A performance for the whole family

The performance "The Greatest Power in the World" is a story about an unusual encounter, where sadness and fear meet bright humanity with a slightly funny walk and a red clown nose pulled on. This moment of meeting begins an adventure in which the greatest power in the world is created. But what is a doctor clown? What lies behind this world’s smallest mask, the red nose? The nature of a doctor clown is astonishing. They cannot exist without another and can become a mirror that helps illuminate each person’s inner world, where miraculous transformations can happen, changing the meaning of events. The performance "The Greatest Power in the World" will be about friendship, great revelations, and about regaining the joy of life at moments when it seems impossible.

The performance was created inspired by the book "The Miraculous Games of Doctor Clown" by Igors Narovskis and Natālija Policja (Zvaigzne ABC Publishing House, 2023). The performance uses the therapeutic stories described in the book, adapted for the dramaturgy of the show, as well as other doctor clown stories, newly created texts, and interviews made by the author of the performance while talking with doctor clowns and children.

"I especially recommend this moving and musical performance for the whole family. "The Greatest Power in the World" not only playfully introduces the special profession of doctor clowns, but it is also a personal conversation, helping to put into words what one is sometimes afraid to say. For me, it is a life-affirming story about cooperation, trust, and love, in which everyone, both children and adults, will find their place," says the performance’s author Kristīne Brīniņa
