“World, Little World” - a story about a time when the boldness of youth was stronger than fear and dreams were bigger than reality.

In memory of Boris Rezņiks, one of the pioneers of Latvian pop music, composer and founder of the group “Eolika,” the song story “WORLD, LITTLE WORLD,” created eighteen years ago, comes to life again - with new voices, a different breath of time, but the same message.

Six young people in 1980s Riga. Love, friendship, ambition, and songs that can say more than words. They believe they will make it, that they will be able to, that the future will be different. But life does not always follow youth’s plan. Can dreams stand the test of time?

The composer’s friend, the author of the song story’s libretto and director Valdis Pavlovskis says: “Boris Rezņiks’ songs are timeless. They awaken memories for those who were there then and who nurtured the dreams of awakening.. And they will also speak to those who did not experience that time”.

“World, Little World” is not just a story about the past. It is about us - about the faith that remains. About the feeling when you want more, louder, truer. When everything is only just beginning...

For the six main roles in the story, already familiar names from the world of pop music, musicals, and TV shows have been chosen - Dagnis Roziņš, Linn (Linda Rušeniece), Eduards Rediko, Estere Tauriņa, Toms Kursītis, and Beate Megija Baranovska. In the remaining roles - Toms Kalderauskis, Una Daniela, Artūrs Biķernieks, AnnaKrista, and a dance group of eight young performers.

The song story is directed and written by Valdis Pavlovskis, with musical direction by Mārčis Auziņš, choreography by Juris Gogulis, set design by Egils Kupčs, video art by Jānis Romanovskis, costumes by Ilze Kaša, and vocal consulting by Anmary. Presented by “Producentu grupa 7”.

The song story will feature songs by Boris Rezņiks from different periods, the most popular and well-known of which are those created for the group “Eolika” - “World, Little World,” “Your Arrival,” “I Am Not Jane Fonda,” “Under the Sun or the Moon,” “Caravan,” “Little Dandelion,” “I will return,” “I am a musician,” “How I Waited,” “You Laughed in a Dream,” “Angel,” and many others.
