Cinderella

The beautiful, heartfelt, and romantic fairy tale about Cinderella and the glass slipper is a true puppetry adventure and a celebration for all lovers of the classics.

Creating the production brought together several generations of the most prominent puppetry artists, who had previously met only through their work. Borrowing the sketches of theatre master Pāvils Šenhofs and the filigree puppet facial features created by the legendary sculptor Anna Nollendorfa for the first staging of Cinderella, artist Anita Znutiņa-Šēve has transformed this heritage into an entirely new form, giving the characters vivid personalities and the spirit of another era. It is no coincidence that the director himself says of the production: “These puppets are too good actors not to use!”
