Performance "Betrayal"

Nobel Prize laureate Harold Pinter's (1930-2008) play explores the fragile architecture of love, memory, and time through the prism of betrayal, with the characters betraying not only one another, but themselves as well. First in small ways and then... It turns out that there is no place for truth in their lives anymore, not even in a game of squash, because sport demands honesty.

Two married couples interact closely for many years, and the basis of their relationship is initially the friendship between Robert and Jerry. One day the balance changes decisively and irreversibly, and a love triangle emerges. From this moment on, the characters build endless labyrinths of silence, deceit, and secrets; they build walls that ultimately separate them from one another; they build without realizing that in fact they are destroying.

The play is an exciting journey from the present into the past. It is a piercing echo of choices made, a thoughtful exploration of the sharp edges of passion, attachment, and deception, both profound and ironic.
