Physical Activity Festival for Children, Young People, and Adults with Special Needs

On November 1, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., a free physical activity festival for children, young people, and adults with special needs will take place at Ķekava Sports Club, 9 Brīvības Street. Participants are invited to come with their families and accompanying persons to move, take part in creative activities, and enjoy time together in a friendly Halloween atmosphere.

The festival will begin with a joint warm-up led by physiotherapist Jurijs Siļčonoks. After that, participants will be welcomed at physical activity stations where they can try agility, coordination, and accuracy tasks, as well as a movement activity with headphones, also known as silent disco. The tasks will be adaptable to participants’ abilities, allowing everyone to get involved at their own pace and receive the support they need.

At the same time, there will be creative Halloween-themed activities and face painting. At TEO audiologist and speech therapist communication station, participants will be able to try adapted communication tasks and get acquainted with alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) tools.

When registering, each participant will receive an activity pass. By trying the tasks at all physical activity stations and collecting stamps, participants will receive a surprise prize and a medal. The festival will end with everyone enjoying a festive ring cake together.

Participation in the event is free of charge.

Please register by October 29 by calling 28712001 or writing to socdienests@kekava.lv. Participant registration at the venue will begin at 10:45 a.m. We invite you to come in comfortable clothing for movement and in indoor shoes.
