Creative think tank "Speak. Propose. Change."

Monday, October 26, from From 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Daugavpils Youth Initiative Center "Navigators", Raina Street 69, the creative think tank "Speak. Propose. Change" will take place, where young people aged 13 to 25 will have the opportunity to discuss their current issues, share experiences and jointly search for solutions to various everyday problems.

The event is held as part of the European Youth Dialogue youth ambassador program to promote the participation of young people in public processes and encourage them to be more actively involved in decision-making. The main idea of ​​the think tank is to create an environment where young people can freely express their opinion, listen to others and jointly develop proposals for positive change.

Special attention will be paid to questions about the availability and reliability of information, the impact of social networks and artificial intelligence on the everyday life of young people, critical thinking and freedom of expression. The participants will also discuss the possibilities of building a constructive dialogue and ensuring that the opinion of young people is heard both at the local and wider society level.

The program of the think tank is created in an interactive format. After the familiarization activities, young people will engage in discussions using the so-called World Café method, which allows them to discuss various issues and exchange ideas in small groups. In the future, the participants will jointly develop possible solutions, present their proposals and vote on the proposed ideas. At the end of the event, there will be an awarding of the participants and a joint closing activity.

The discussions will be led by young people with experience in the work of youth councils and student self-governments, while mentors Līga Springa and Gunita Vanaga will support them during the event.

The think tank is part of the 12th cycle of the European Youth Dialogue, which runs from July 2026 to December 2027. Its main theme is the fourth European Youth Goal "Information and constructive dialogue", which focuses on young people's access to reliable information, developing critical thinking and strengthening opportunities for participation.

All interested people between the ages of 13 and 25 who want to share their ideas, get to know like-minded people and engage in discussions about issues important to young people are invited to participate. Application is possible using the QR code indicated on the event poster.

The European Youth Dialogue is implemented by the Ministry of Education and Science within the framework of the "Implementation of the European Youth Dialogue in Latvia 2025-2027" project, and it is co-financed from the European Commission and the state budget.
