RAXTU RAXTI | ONE SUN, ONE EARTH

With a new concert program and music album, the musical group “Raxtu Raxti” will delight listeners across Latvia already this autumn. The first part of the concert will feature music from the new album created by the musicians of Raxtu Raxti, where Latvian folk and world music will be heard, as well as completely new original compositions. As always, the group’s sound will be shaped by a wide range of instruments and resonant voices, which sound just as well in solo songs as in rich polyphony.

In the second part of the concert, music that has been heard at Raxtu Raxti concerts since the group’s beginnings will be performed, along with songs that are especially dear to the musicians themselves and that have been heard in concerts in Latvia and beyond its borders. Singing together with the audience will be a strengthening and celebration of Latvian identity, with a view toward the future - in a free Latvia.
