MAN OF DUST II. Riga's new choir sounds

A world created from stardust – sound, voice and electronics meet on a journey from space to man.

on October 14 at At 19.00 in the Hangar concert hall on the block of Tallinn street, the premiere of Sniedze Prauliņa's latest composition for voices and electronics will take place in the concert PUTEKěU CILVĕKS II. It was created especially for this project, combining the sound of voices with electronic sound.

At the heart of the concert is the voice - its diverse possibilities, interaction with electronics and sound space, which allows you to travel from the vastness of space to the inner world of a person.

Singers Elīna Ose, Inga Martinsone, Agnese Pauniņa, Mārtiņš Zvīgulis, cellist Āriks Kiršfelds and conductor Pēteris Vaickovskis will perform together with Sniedzi Prauliņa.

DUST MAN II is a part of the festival "Rīgas new choral sounds / Rīga New Choral Sounds" - a platform for new choral music, premieres and creative collaborations that reveal the sound of Riga's contemporary choir.

"Rīga New Choral Sounds" continues the idea of ​​the international "Rīga A Cappella Festival" started in 2013, but in a new form. Choral music is viewed here in a broader way - along with vocal music, contemporary sound, electronics and other contemporary forms of expression. In October 2026, several concerts, specially designed musical projects and industry meetings will take place in Riga.
