Rock and Organs: Ballads. Premiere. Additional Concert

Okoncert presents: ROCK AND ORGANS: BALLADS. Premiere - legendary rock ballads performed on the organ!

We are pleased to present the premiere of the new concert program ROCK AND ORGANS: BALLADS.

There is rock music in which it is not volume but melody that comes to the fore. This time ROCK AND ORGANS will reveal itself from a different angle - the program will focus on famous ballads and pieces that have long become classics of rock music.

The organ will meet electric guitar, bass guitar, vocals, and percussion. This combination will allow familiar music to be rediscovered - from a lyrical, almost chamber-like sound to powerful climaxes of the full ensemble.

Rock ballads will retain their recognizability and character, but will gain the grandeur and depth of the organ sound.

Performers:

Ilona Birģele (organ)

Mārcis Vasiļevskis (guitar)

Ervīns Ramiņš (bass guitar, vocals)

Virdžīnija Laube-Vītiņa (percussion)

Under the neo-Gothic vaults of St. Paul's Church, rock ballads will take on a completely different sound. The church's spacious acoustics, light, and architecture will enhance the scale of the music while preserving its emotional depth and intimacy.
