An Autumn Hike in the Scenic Area Around Ēdole and Īvande

The Kuldīga Municipality Museum invites you to set off on a colorful adventure that will appeal not only to lovers of active recreation, but also to history enthusiasts. During the hike, there will be an opportunity to enjoy magnificent autumn landscapes and discover new places or get to know familiar ones more closely.

The circular hiking route Īvande-Ēdole-Īvande includes natural sites, archaeological and architectural monuments. The route will lead along country roads, meadows, forest paths, and a little off-road as well.

The hike will be guided by the museum historian Pēteris Pabērzs and archaeologist Inna Rozentāle, who will not only show the way, but also tell fascinating stories about the history of Courland: Curonian settlements and ancient burial grounds, Courland castles, manors and churches, the controversial events of 1905, and much more.
