"The Dream of Writing" - literary event

In response to the European Authors' Day invitation to meet in person, read together, talk, and share ideas and emotions, Bites Library invites everyone interested to a meeting with writer, teacher, book reviewer, and professional guide Ruta Zimnoha on November 11 at 4:00 PM.

Ruta Zimnoha describes herself as a woman from Kurzeme with Belarusian genes. After graduating from Kandava State Agricultural Technical School, she lived and worked in the Netherlands for some time, but since 1999 she has called herself a Riga resident. She studied at the University of Latvia, works at a school in her daily life, and also works as a guide, while in her free moments she reads and creates book reviews and writes books herself for both children and adults.

Special attention should be given to our local educational book "Summer Adventure in Penkule," created in cooperation with the association "Penkule Opens Its Doors" and full of fascinating stories about the neighboring parish's historical places, notable people, and the colorful life of a city teenager in a rural village.

The meeting promises to be truly exciting, because the writer has plenty of life experience from searching for her own path, from the surprise-filled work of a guide, from sharing the emotions and reflections gained while reading books, from working with teenagers at school, and from fulfilling the dream of writing, which was born in a distinctive way and is partly connected with the renowned Latvian children's book illustrator and writer Margarita Stāraste.

You are warmly invited to a meeting to enjoy the energetic life and literary stories of writer Ruta Zimnoha, read excerpts from books together, and spend time in the warm atmosphere of Bites Library!
