Since the dawn of humanity, struggle, whether physical or verbal, has been an inseparable part of human relationships, serving as an instinctive response to threat, disagreement, or power dynamics. For a long time, physical violence was regarded as a legitimate and effective solution to conflict, but the development of society toward laws, education, justice, and empathy has significantly changed this perception, stating more and more clearly: violence, both physical and emotional, is unacceptable. Yet in this story of civilization, the deeply rooted illusion of victory still remains. In struggles, regardless of their form, central attention is often given to the so-called winner. But this victory is often only a momentary observation, never final. The “loser” rises, gathers strength, and responds. This dynamic creates an endless, exhausting, and essentially pointless cycle. Society, continually constructing winners and losers anew, keeps repeating the same mistake - believing that someone will win.

“Mournfully Roared the Water Waves” will be a performance about time, struggle, victory and defeat, victory and defeat, victory and defeat, defeat, defeat, victory and defeat.
