Skyforger, or "Heaven Smith" in Latvian, is a Latvian folk metal band formed in 1995, whose sound can be described as a distinctive blend of pagan, folk, heavy and black metal, bringing history, stories and legends to life in their music.

The band has won the hearts of many fans both in Latvia and around the world, with their interesting sound, where Latvian traditional music meets heavy rock, as well as their striking stage presence. Skyforger is undoubtedly the Latvian heavy rock band best known abroad and is among the leading bands in the world within the pagan folk metal genre.
