Smiltene Municipality Amateur Theatre Festival. Smiltene People's Theatre, performance "The Shameless Old Men"

The play, written in exile by the notable Latvian writer Anšlavs Eglītis, centers on pensioner Jānis Bertolds, whom his family sees only as a breadwinner, while his wife Zuzanna orders him around in every little thing, so for the sake of peace and quiet he has moved to live ... in the garage. A chance meeting with a childhood friend, the refined bachelor and bon vivant Longins Laukmanis, and former schoolmate Askolds Olte changes the lives of all three pensioners.
