Sofia Festival Ballet. The Sleeping Beauty.

On December 28, one of the world's most famous masterpieces of classical ballet, “The Sleeping Beauty,” will be performed on the stage of the Riga VEF Culture Palace. The performance will be presented by the stars of Sofia Festival Ballet, inviting audiences into a world of fairy tales, magic, and the incomparable beauty of classical choreography.

“The Sleeping Beauty” is one of the outstanding masterpieces of the world ballet repertoire, created based on the famous fairy tale by Charles Perrault. The combination of brilliant music, exquisite choreography, and a fairy-tale plot has made “The Sleeping Beauty” one of the most beloved classical ballet productions.

The story of Princess Aurora, in which an evil fairy curses her and a handsome prince awakens her with a kiss, has been familiar to many since childhood. But on stage, the story comes to life in a completely new way, thanks to the music, magnificent costumes, and the artistry of the performers.

The magical story, the familiar music, and the beauty of classical ballet make the performance exciting not only for experienced ballet lovers, but also for those discovering this art form for the first time. “The Sleeping Beauty” is a great way to introduce young audiences to classical ballet through a clear and beloved fairy-tale story, splendid costumes, music, and the expressive language of dance.

In the Sofia Festival Ballet performance, the classic fairy tale turns into a true celebration, creating an atmosphere in which reality fades away for a few hours, making room for a world of fantasy and dreams.
