SOFIA FESTIVAL BALLET. The Sleeping Beauty

On December 26, one of the world’s best-known masterpieces of classical ballet, The Sleeping Beauty, will be performed on the stage of the Daugavpils Culture Palace. The performance will be presented by the stars of Sofia Festival Ballet, inviting audiences into a world of fairy tales, magic, and the unique beauty of classical choreography.

The Sleeping Beauty is one of the outstanding masterpieces of the world ballet repertoire, created based on the famous fairy tale by Charles Perrault. The combination of brilliant music, refined choreography, and a fairy-tale plot has made The Sleeping Beauty one of the most beloved classical ballet productions.

The story of Princess Aurora, in which an evil fairy curses her and a handsome prince awakens her with a kiss, has been familiar to many since childhood. But on stage, this story comes to life in a completely new way, thanks to the music, magnificent costumes, and the artistry of the performers.

The magical story, the familiar music, and the beauty of classical ballet make the performance exciting not only for experienced ballet lovers, but also for those discovering this art form for the first time. The Sleeping Beauty is a great way to introduce young audiences to classical ballet through a clear and beloved fairy-tale story, magnificent costumes, music, and the expressive language of dance.

In the Sofia Festival Ballet performance, the classic fairy tale turns into a true festive show, creating an atmosphere in which reality steps back for a few hours, giving way to a world of fantasy and dreams.
