Modern Jazz & Standards | Milana Maksimova Quartet

On November 14, a quartet of young-generation musicians will perform at MASA jazz club, inviting you to an evening of modern jazz and improvisation. The program will feature beloved jazz standards, pieces of traditional and modern jazz, as well as the musicians’ own original compositions, from melancholy ballads to Latin jazz rhythms.

All four musicians are currently studying at the Jazz Music Department of the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in Tallinn. While Milana Maksimova and Roberts Miezītis have only recently begun their musical journey in Estonia after studying at music high school and gaining concert experience in Latvia, Gustavs Saulītis and Vladimir Todurov have already performed on various stages in Estonia and taken part in musical projects in collaboration with the Jazzkaar festival and the Philly Joe’s jazz club.

Lineup:

Roberts Miezītis — saxophone

Vladimir Todurov (Estonia) — keyboards

Gustavs Saulītis — double bass

Milana Maksimova — drums
