Molière's brilliant comedy "Tartifus" is called the play of all time, and this is not an exaggeration: although it was written in 1664, it is still successfully staged in theaters around the world and has already been adapted eight times. The subtle, light, funny and at the same time deep, wise and apt text has still not lost its charm or relevance - the reason for this is also the fact that the author managed to create timeless characters and situations.

...In the house of the respected Mr. Orgon, a certain Tartiff stayed - a holy man, according to the owner and his mother. The rest of the household do not agree with this assessment, but all attempts to convince Orgon are not only futile, but also cause him real anger and strengthen his conviction about the bad intentions of his wife, children and servants. Meanwhile, the guest brings his order to the house, and Orgon not only agrees to everything, but even prepares to marry his daughter to Tartiffe, although she has long been promised to someone else. Neither the girl, nor her real fiance, nor her brother, nor... In general, almost no one agrees with this plan, so intrigues, conspiracies and real battles await the audience... for money and feelings.

In this production, director Sergej Golomazov intends to explore the timeless nature of human ignorance, which is as comical as it is dangerous. Fortunately, common sense and love win out in this story!
