TDA Teiksma 80th Anniversary Prelude Concert

What is “Teiksma”? What is it that has united dancers, choreographers, and generations for eight decades now, some of whose lives have been spent on the stage of the Folk Dance Ensemble “Teiksma”?

To celebrate its 80th anniversary, the ensemble invites you to an anniversary prelude concert at the Salacgrīva Cultural Center on November 14 at 7:00 PM.

It will be a story about heritage, searching, generations of dancers, and the creative spirit that has shaped the ensemble over the decades.

The history of TDA “Teiksma” is not just years, names, and performed choreographies. It is a current that flows from one generation to the next, preserving what is important while at the same time being able to change with the times.

The anniversary concert will seek the answer to the question of what shapes “Teiksma’s” identity and what makes a dancer feel they belong to “Teiksma”?
