KVADRIFRONS Theatre Troupe Performance DESIRE

On October 7, we invite you to the performance "Desire" by the theater troupe KVADRIFRONS at the Valmiera Culture Centre.

The performance "Desire" is a political stand-up show with elements of a cooking show, created by the KVADRIFRONS team for Latvian secondary school students.

During the performance, under the guidance of actor Jānis Kronis, the audience will get to know the history of rasols recipes and the Saeima convocation history, experience political agitation and provocation, and take part in a secret ballot in which they will together decide on the ingredients of the ideal recipe for the popular salad. In a relaxed and social atmosphere, coming to an agreement on the most correct rasols recipe, secondary school students will be invited to think about the need for political participation - by deciding not to take part in elections, we are saying: “For the next four years I am ready to eat rasols, the recipe for which was determined by someone else.”

After the ceremonial stirring of the bowl and the solemn announcement of the results, rasols will be served.

“Take heed,” I say to myself, when pouring vinegar,

“Keep balance everywhere, and then you will have a master’s honor!”

And then suddenly I look and laugh from the heart:

A huge golden pot is cut with rasols.
