Performing will be Ukrainian prima ballerina I. Khandazhevskaya, awarded the honorary title of Honored Artist of Ukraine (Заслужена артистка України), as well as other internationally awarded ballet soloists who dance in the world's most prestigious theaters. The legendary ballet "The Nutcracker" has undoubtedly earned the status of a world classic and the love of audiences, becoming the most popular production of the holiday season. Many of the world's most prestigious theaters include it in their repertoire. The two-act ballet is based on motifs from E. T. A. Hoffmann's fairy tale "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King." The magical music for the ballet was created in the 19th century by composer Pyotr Tchaikovsky. The choreography was created by the French-born dancer, ballet master, and teacher Marius Petipa. Among his most significant productions are "Don Quixote," "La Bayadère," "Raymonda," "The Sleeping Beauty," and "Swan Lake."

The ballet was conducted by Italian composer Riccardo Eugenio Drigo, while the role of the Sugar Plum Fairy was performed by the Italian prima ballerina Antonietta Dell'Era.
