The White Concert

The White Concert

Children had gathered around the Christmas tree. It stood in the middle of a large round table and rose high above their heads. Small flames burned in its green branches, and on every side something glimmered, swayed, and waited to be noticed.

This is how a poetic story begins, inspired by Charles Dickens' Christmas tales - a journey through childhood memories, where we can once again find brighter thoughts, joy, and longing for a pure, white world.

"The White Concert" will take listeners on a journey to the child who once looked at the branches of the Christmas tree and believed that every little light held a miracle.

As words intertwine with bright and listener-familiar melodies of classical music, childhood fairy tales and dreams will come to life, along with the brightness of love and memories of everything we have encountered in life, loved, and kept within ourselves.

Together with actress Signe Dancīte, this Christmas story will be told by a trio of outstanding, internationally acclaimed musicians - Daniils Bulajevs (violin), Guna Šnē (cello), Agnese Egliņa (piano).
