Only Love

The brightest comedy by René Heinersdorf, a well-known actor, director, theater manager, and playwright in Germany, self-described as the last icon of boulevard theater, captivates with light, witty dialogue, fast-paced, unexpected plot twists in a distinctly modern setting, where modern technology is not only a sign of the times, but also an active driving force of conflict. It centers on thirty-somethings whose battles for self-affirmation and for "staying on top of life" have already faded, with relationships worn down by routine, replacing the all-encompassing, though perhaps now considered old-fashioned, love of today.
